This year BUILD entered seven categories within the Florida Home Builders Association's Aurora Awards and won top honors for every category entered.
BUILD won Best Commercial Project under 20,000 square feet for Ankrolab Brewing Company. Formerly a small engine warehouse, the 6,000 square foot building was stripped down to the metal framing and transformed into an award-winning state-of-the-art microbrewery.
Best Rehabilitation Project was given to Pelican Marsh Golf Club. An extensive renovation and expansion was completed to this two-story clubhouse while remaining operational, the kitchen and grill room were utilized for the members as they were renovated by us the year prior. This bespoke change starts with the outside where a complete remodel was done to the facade with paint, natural stone accents, and custom-made aluminum shutters and railings. The outdoor terraces were refurbished and modernized to maintain consistence with the interior renovation. The interior included the lobby, locker rooms, lounge, main and private dining rooms.
Best Interior Renovation of a Home goes to the St. Raphael renovation, this three-bedroom, three bath multi-family residence on the 8th floor underwent a comprehensive renovation that was completed in just four months from demolition to completion. The new transitional style offers a clean, elegant look throughout this home.
BUILD won Best Renovated or Restored Single House for our Downtown Naples Renovation. Modern style two-story single family residence located only steps from the white sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico and the historic downtown shopping area of Naples. This home was completely remodeled as it was taken down to the bare walls and then meticulously redesigned and rebuilt.
Best Custom Home under 4,000 square feet was given to Marco Island Waterfront, this gorgeous one-story custom home features three bedrooms, four baths, and a three-car side garage. An open floorplan with the main living area showcasing the beautiful great room, dining room, and kitchen. Professionally designed in Bali style, this luxurious and stately residence showcases extraordinary details throughout the interior of the home.
Best Custom Home over 10,000 square feet was awarded to Talis Park Private Residence, a custom-made expansive two-story home providing views of the spacious kitchen, breakfast nook, dining, great room, and outdoor amenities upon entry. Featuring 11,000 square feet of open area lavish living this residence does not disappoint with the attention to detail throughout.
Lastly, BUILD was awarded Best Green Construction for our Manasota Key Waterfront Home. A modern family retreat, this two-story custom home is situated on an over two-acre naturally wooded hammock ecosystem lot with panoramic views of Lemon Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. This platinum LEED certified residence offers eight suites for the family guests and a separate cabana suite. This home is truly one of a kind!

In it's 40th year, the Florida Home Builders Association's Aurora Awards feature 68 categories that represent all facets of the residential, commercial and remodeling industries. Each top winner by category is presented with a Silver Aurora Award and are finalists for the Grand Award which will be presented on August 2nd at the Aurora Ceremony in Orlando. From overall design to sustainability, the awards program offers categories for each participant in the construction industry.
